Th!nk Nordic develops plug in hydrogen hybrid
27 October 2005 by Hydrogen Power
Th!nk Nordic, builders of a small electric car, the Th!nk City, and a 4WD electric the Th!nk Public, have, under their new owners, gone on to develop a new car, the Th!nk Hydrogen. The Th!nk Hydrogen is a hydrogen fuel cell hybrid built using the Th!nk City as its base. Th!nk Nordic is building the car in partnership with Raufoss Fuel Systems who will deliver the hydrogen storage system.
The Th!nk Hydrogen will be a plug in hybrid. It has a 150km range on batteries alone and can be recharged from a wall outlet. Using hydrogen as well, the range is doubled to 300km. Plans are for a demonstration vehicle to be completed this year, selling or leasing 5 vehicles next year and delivering a small series of cars in 2007.
