Safer catalyst for hydrogen production

Ohio State engineers have developed an environmentally safer catalyst for producing hydrogen which is approximately 25 percent better than current options.

Though the new catalyst is still in the early stages of testing, it could represent an important step toward using the nation’s coal supply to power alternative fuel vehicles and equipment.
